Check out our solution to construction waste diversion! We created plywood boxes for the main recyclable materials and painted them so that separating the materials comes subconsciously to those working onsite. When the boxes fill up we'll take them to a recycling facility which prevents tons of unnecessary waste in the landfill.
Boxes for wood, plastic, and cardboard, and a trashcan for metal on the left!

We are lucky on this spacious site to have enough room to stockpile materials.

Timelapse update and the conditioned crawlspace

They may look somewhat like legos, but the white panels you see are actually Insulating Concrete Forms (ICFs). ICFs are usually made with a rigid thermal insulation and are stacked and filled with concrete. In this case they are being used to line the conditioned crawlspace at the Greisman Residence. Having the crawlspace being within the thermal envelope allows for higher efficiency of HVAC ducting that runs through that crawlspace. Good building science applied!

Deconstruction Time-Lapse

Deconstruction of the old property condensed into 30 seconds. Now, the site is ready for new construction! We plan on taking time-lapses of the project through every stage of the process, so keep checking back.
